A: The Owner, Vince, will set up an appointment with you, at your convenience, and review your project in detail, laying out all your options, in order to provide you with the most cost-effective solution.

Q: I have some existing material. Would you use it in my project? (i.e. bricks)

A: Sure! We use our customers' material all the time, especially for repairs, where we can normally completely reuse bricks and blocks. If you have acquired material and want us to use it for your project, we will be more than happy to install it for you.

Q: Does The Brick Paver Dr. pass the low material cost on to the customer?

A: Yes! The Brick Paver Dr. does not mark up material. We pride ourselves on providing excellent paver services.

Q: Do brick pavers need to be sealed?

A: Sealing pavers is not for everyone. Sealing is primarily for aesthetics, although, it does provide great sand retention in the joints. There are, however, other solutions, such as polymeric sand, that stay in paver joints very well, and are less costly and require less follow-up maintenance. However, sealing should occur 1-2 years after installation, to allow for efflorescence to dissipate.

Q: Is polymeric sand guaranteed to stay in the brick paver joints? Does it eliminate insects, (ants), and plant growth?

A: Nothing is guaranteed. Polymeric sand's performance is only as good as the manufacturer's final product; for example, the mixing of ingredients, and the method/process which is used by the installer, whether it be a contractor or the homeowner. The installation process used for ploymeric sand should not be taken lightly and should only be performed by a well-informed or experienced person.

Q: Do brick pavers require sand in the joints between the bricks?

A: Absolutely. They require sand between the joints to prevent shifting and plant growth, especially going into the cold, high-precipitation, winter months.

Q: Is standard play sand acceptable in brick paver joints?

A: No, not unless it is intended only for a short period of time, until a more long term solution is available.

Q: Is one brand of brick pavers superior to others?

A: Not really. All brick manufacturers use high standards. There are, however, some marginal differences in accuracy. Generally, contractors or homeowners prefer one manufacturer over another due to a preferred style or familiarity with a particular manufacturer's product.

Q: Some contractors advertise that they are able to offer cheaper pricing because they buy brick pavers in larger quantities. Is this true?

A: If this is the case, this contractor is not a good business person. Material is a small portion of the total cost of the project. Why would a company buy large amounts of material, not knowing ahead of time if it's something a customer would even like for their project? At The Brick Paver Dr., we purchase material specifically when you have selected it for your project, and we get competitive prices. We want you to have the full spectrum of choices available, so your hardscape project is personalized to yout specific requirements.

Q: What methods of payment does The Brick Paver Dr. accept?

A: We accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and PayPal.

Q: When is payment due for services provided by The Brick Paver Dr.?

A: Payment is due upon successful completion of your project. A deposit is only required for projects where a large amount of material must be purchased or ordered up front. This may vary for individual franchises.
